Shinhwa Corp. announced that it set
up laboratory center on 19th of Aug. to
maximize the function of Design Center
that had been founded early this year
and to strengthen the capability of developing technologies.
The R&D Center
went through the approval procedure of government
and began to do its activities
as a formal Lab of Shinhwa Corp.

An official at Shinhwa said "With
the Lab, we will specify the project that has
been developed in Design Center such as wireless
hand-held device module,
sleek module development, and we will strengthen
our position as a solution
developer as well as specified solution partner
through connecting both sides
continuously." Shinhwa made a contract to cooperate
in the solution part with
a PAN ( Personal Area Network ) solution provider,
IXI Mobile Corp, and with a
DSP solution provider, Ittiam last month.

Shinhwa announced today that it has
decided UWB technology as its main
subject to proceed in R&D center and
launches to develop the technology of UWB, which
is considered to be the next
generation¡¯s alternate core technology in the wireless
communication area.
UWB is known as surpassing current technology than
Bluetooth, or wireless
LAN in data transmission speed, co-existence and
power consumption vs. data rate.
Shinhwa revealed that it picked up
Mr. Myoung Soo Kim as CTO, who was
previously founder and President
& CEO at Nexsun Technology Inc., a Bluetooth
product company, and has recruited protocol &
network software/hardware veterans
in the communication electronics industry from inside
and outside of the country.
C.P. Hong, the president of Shinhwa Corp. said,
¡°We will provide complete range
of UWB chipset based solution including 802.15.x,
Middleware, various profiles with
Development Kit with the electronic appliances manufacturers
and wide range of
other industry¡±.
And he also emphasized, ¡°We will actively extend
close relationship to UWB
chipset manufactures and electronics appliances
companies as partner,
coordinators to make the UWB technology grow fast¡±.
Shinhwa is preparing to set up its R & D center
in San Joes, UAS aiming at working
closely with partners globally as well firming
up its marketing deployment.
